Research papers are a great way to learn something new about a particular subject. I think along with many others that it may be time consuming, but it helps you learn many things about a particular subject that you can store in your brain for many years to come. They are fun to do because you choose where you want to look for information and you don't have to look in your head and get stuck. In my experiences, i transferred from a Fairfax county HS to a school in manassas where it is required annually to complete a research paper in order to graduate.
